So, how do you date a guitar from this period? There are no reliable public charts to give you an exact year from the number itself. The most reliable method is to contact Godin directly with the serial number. They have the internal records to provide the answer. As a general guideline: 4-digit numbers usually point to 1987-1991, while 5-digit numbers typically indicate 1992-1993. Keep in mind that some very early 1994 models, like the first Multiac examples, still used a 5-digit stamp on the back of the headstock.
